①康熙《繁昌县志》卷3城池：“明天顺元年徙今所，以故城为旧县镇。”《清嘉庆一统志》第40册，卷120《太平州一古迹》：“繁昌故城，……《旧志》：宋庆历间，筑城，周六里八十步。明天顺初移今治。旧城在县西北四十里。今为旧县镇。”
