约西晋泰始二年（266年）置，南朝宋永初元年（420年）废，属鄱阳郡（1）。约治今江西贵溪县（2）。
注：
（1）《晋书》卷15《地理志下》鄱阳郡有晋兴县。（北京，中华书局，1974年，2册，462页。）又见洪亮吉《东晋疆域志》卷2。《二十五史补编》，北京，中华书局，1956年，3册，3618页。《宋书》卷36《州郡志二》鄱阳太守下无此县。（北京，中华书局，1974年，4册，1088页。）按：姑作国初所置，晋泰始元年十二月受禅，故作次年置此县，南朝宋永初元年东晋亡，姑作其年县废。
（2）嘉靖《广信府志》卷1《地舆志·疆域》：贵溪县“本汉余汗县之晋兴乡，晋为县，隋省入余干。”（上海书店，《天一阁藏明代方志选刊续编》，45册，24页。）《余干县地名志》云，晋兴县即今余江、贵溪、鹰潭。（1985年，293页。）按：鹰潭析自贵溪。《中国历史地图集》作无考县，今故地所在从府志，省废据《宋书·州郡志》。",
