唐武德五年（622年）置阳乐县，属靖州，七年（624年）属米州，旋属筠州，八年（625年）废入高安县（1）。约治今江西宜丰县东南渣陂一带（2）。

（2）《太平寰宇记》卷106《江南西道四》：筠州高安县“阳乐县城，在州西北八十里义均乡，吴大帝时始于上蔡县管分置，唐武德五年属靖州，八年废。”（金陵书局，清光绪八年刊本，22页。）明正德《瑞州府志》卷11《古迹志》：上高县，“阳乐故城，县北十五里义钧乡。”新昌县“阳乐县故城，县东二十里义钧乡。”（上海书店，《天一阁藏明代方志选刊续编》，42册，1097-8页。）《清嘉庆一统志》卷325《瑞州府·古迹》：阳乐废县，在新昌县东，“《明统志》在新昌县东二十里。按吴之阳乐，即晋宋康乐县，在今袁州府万载县界，此唐初所置，非孙吴故县也。”（商务印书馆，1934年，《四部丛刊续编》，119册，10页。）按：新昌、上高交界，上引《瑞州府志》两县均有义钧乡（671、675页。）但新昌在筠州治所高安西北，上高在高安西南，据《寰宇记》当以西北为妥。又康熙二十二年《新昌县志》卷1《舆地·会市》义钧乡有查陂市，县东南二十五里。（《中国方志丛书》华中地方893号，成文出版社有限公司，1册，76页。）其地正在高安西北，南近上高界，与史载所属乡名、方向、距离大致相当，1914年改新昌为宜丰，今姑定于宜丰县东南渣陂。（上海，中华地图学社，1990年，《江西省地图册》。）",
