唐永泰元年（765年）分弋阳县置贵溪县，属信州（1）。宋同（2）。元至元十四年（1277年）属信州路，至正二十年（1360年）朱元璋属广信府（3），清迄1911年不改（4）。治今江西贵溪（5）。
