唐天宝元年（742年）改新昌为浮梁（1），属鄱阳郡，乾元元年（758年）属饶州（2）。宋同（3）。元至元十四年（1277年）属饶州路，元贞元年（1295年）升为浮梁州（4）。治今江西浮梁（5）。
