（1）清乾隆元年《浙江通志》卷4《建置一》：“康熙二十六年，题设定海县，属宁波府。”卷7《建置四》：“（康熙）二十五年题请设立县治，二十六年改舟山为定海山，二十七年建县治，赐名定海县，总四乡十九图，内昌国乡为附郭。”（台湾华文书局，1967年，1册，159、203页。）
（2）《清嘉庆一统志》卷291《宁波府一·城池》：定海县城“本朝康熙二十八年因昌国城故址重筑，乾隆中修。”（商务印书馆，1934年，《四部丛刊续编》，104册，4页。）其后未见有迁移记载，1987年为舟山市定海区。
