五代梁开平二年(908年)，吴越国改乐成县置，属温州。治所即今浙江乐清县治乐成镇。南宋咸淳元年（1264年）属瑞安府。元属温州路。明属温州府。清不改。1912年裁府留县，属浙江省。
五代梁开平二年(908年)，吴越国改乐成县置（1），属温州（2）。治所即今浙江乐清县治乐成镇（3）。后唐、后晋、后汉、后周同（4）。宋太平兴国三年（978年）地入宋（5），所属同。南宋咸淳元年（1264年）属瑞安府（6）。蒙古至元十三年（1276年）地入元（7），属温州路（8）。元至正二十七年（1367年）地入明（9），洪武元年（1368年）属温州府（10）。清顺治三年（1646年）地入清（11），仍属温州府（12）。1912年裁府留县，属浙江省（13）。
