隋开皇九年（589年）置，为处州治。治所在今浙江丽水市老城区东南七里、好溪西岸。唐大历十四年（779）改为丽水县。
隋开皇九年（589年）置（1），为处州治（2）。治所在今浙江丽水市老城区东南七里、好溪西岸（3）。十二年（592年）改为括州治，大业三年（607年）又为永嘉郡治（4）。唐武德四年（621年）复为括州治，天宝元年（742年）为缙雲郡治，乾元元年（758年）又为括州治（5），大历十四年（779年）改为丽水县（6）。
