（1）（4）《宋书》卷5《州郡志一》：丹阳尹永世县，“吴分溧阳为永平县，晋武帝太康元年（280年）更名。”（北京，中华书局，1974年，4册，1029—1030页）按吴何时置，史无明文，吴增仅、扬守敬《三国郡县表附考证》，永平县列入东汉末至吴黄武二年（223年）（《二十五史补编》，北京，中华书局，1956年，3册，2930—2931页）《宋书》既云吴置，当非东汉末置，应置于吴黄武二年之前的黄武元年（222年）。
（2）《景定建康志》卷20《城阙志一·古城郭》：永世城，在溧阳县南十五里，吴分溧阳县置永平县，晋太康元年更名，“今俗称故县。”（《宋元方志丛刊》，北京，中华书局，1990年，2册，1628页）按南宋溧阳县，即今江苏溧阳市，今溧阳市南有地名古县（《江苏省地图集》，江苏省地图集编辑组，1978年，25页），即是。
