三国吴黄武元年（222年）改溧阳县为溧阳屯田都尉。治今江苏高淳县东固城。西晋太康元年（280年）复改为溧阳县。

注：
（1）（4）《宋书》卷35《州郡志一》：“溧阳令，汉旧县。吴省为屯田。晋武帝太康元年（280年）复立。”（北京，中华书局，1974年，4册，1030页）吴何时改置，史无明文，当在吴初，姑定于吴初之黄武元年（222年）。
（2）《景定建康志》卷20《城阙志一》：古固城，“在今溧阳县之西，溧水县界，周回七里余，其故址尚存。……绍兴中，得后汉校官碑于溧阳固城之旁，知其为汉县治。”（《宋元方志丛刊》，北京，中华书局，1990年，2册，1621页）按今高淳县东之固城（《江苏省地图集》，江苏省地图集编辑组，1978年，25页），即是。何时所迁，史无明文。考《后汉书》卷21《李忠传》：“建武六年（30年），迁丹阳太守。是时海内新定，南方海滨江淮，多拥兵据土。忠到郡，招怀降附，其不服者诛之，旬月皆平。”（北京，中华书局，1965年，3册，756页）溧阳县之迁治，或在是时。
