元至元十四年（1277）置华亭府，治所在今上海市松江县。次年改名松江府。[1]
[1]《元史》地理五：“松江府，唐为苏州属邑。宋为秀州属邑。元至元十四年，升为华亭府。十五年，改松江府，仍置华亭县以隶之。”
崇祯《松江府志》卷2：“元至元十四年，升嘉兴府为路，置华亭府属焉。”
嘉庆《松江府志》卷1：“元至元十四年，升嘉兴为路，升华亭县为府，隶之。隶江淮行省。”
华亭府（1277-1277年）界线
元至元十四年（1277）置华亭府，治所在今上海市松江县。次年改名松江府。[1]因此，华亭府与松江府的界线，即唐宋时期的华亭县范围。《清一统志》松江府一：“西距一百六十里，南北距一百五十二里。东至大海一百里，西至苏州府吴江县界六十里，南至大海七十二里，北至苏州府昆山县界八十里，东南至大海一百十里，西南至浙江嘉兴府嘉善县界五十里，东北至太仓州嘉定县界一百十里，西北至苏州府长洲县界一百里。”相当今上海市吴淞江－苏州河－虬江一线以南地区。
