⑴《明实录·太祖实录》卷5：三月“己丑，复改长春府为常州府、晋陵县为京临县、武进县为永定县。寻以京临并入永定。”（台湾，中央研究院历史语言研究所校印本，第1册，52页）
《明史》卷40《地理一》：“太祖丁酉年三月改武进县曰永定，晋陵县曰京临。寻以京临省入永定。”（北京，中华书局，1974年郑天挺等校点本，4册，921页）
明代方志则作洪武元年省废。
成化《重修毗陵志》卷1《地理一》：“洪武元年并晋陵入本（武进）县云”。（《天一阁藏明代方志选刊续编》本，21册，11页）《读史方舆纪要》等皆作“洪武初”。《重修毗陵志》记常州路改常州府之事，亦在洪武元年。疑方志所云“洪武元年”泛指元末朱元璋起兵时期。
因《明实录》记载元至元二十二年“六月甲戍，朔。复以常州永定县为武进县。”（同上，第1册，141页）并无京临县复名晋陵县之记载，故暂定在改名的次年（1358年）已经省入永定县。",
