五代唐清泰二年（935年），复改长乐县为闽县，为长乐府治1。治所即今福建省福州市2。晋天复六年（941年），又改为长乐县3。

1，《读史方舆纪要》卷96·福建二·福州府·闽县：“原丰，开皇十二年又改为闽县，自是州郡皆治此。五代唐长兴四年，王氏改为长乐县，清泰二年复旧。晋天复六年复曰长乐。”（北京，中华书局，1955年，5册，3978页）。清《嘉庆一统志》卷425·福州府一建置沿革：“五代初为王氏所据。唐天成元年，王延翰建闽国，长兴四年王延钧改长乐府。晋开运二年属南唐。”（《四部丛刊续编》，商务印书馆，1934年，154册）。
