至正二十二年（1362年）复改长安州为长兴州。属湖州路。①治所即今浙江长兴县治。②至正二十六年（1366年）朱元璋改湖州路为湖州府。县属之。③明洪武二年（1369年）降为长兴县。④
①《元史》卷62《地理志五》湖州路：“上。唐改吴兴郡，又改湖州。宋改安吉州。至元十三年，升湖州路。”（第5册，1492页）“领司一、县五、州一。……长兴州，中。唐为绥州，又更名雉州，又为长城县。朱梁改曰长兴。宋因之。元元贞元年，升为州。”（1493页）《明史》卷44《地理志五》：湖州府长兴县：“元长兴州。太祖丁酉年三月改名长安州，壬寅年复曰长兴。洪武二年降为县。”丁酉年为元至正17年（1357年），壬寅年为至正22年（1362年）
