西晋太康三年（282年）分乌程县立东迁县。属吴兴郡。①治所即今浙江湖州市东东迁镇。②南朝宋元徽四年（476年）改名东安县。③
①《晋书》卷15《地理志下》吴兴郡领有东迁县。（第2册451页）《宋书》卷35《州郡志一》：吴兴太守：“东迁令，晋武帝太康三年分乌程立。后废帝元徽四年，更名东安。顺帝昇明元年复旧。”（第4册，1033页）
②《清嘉庆一统志》第103册，卷289《湖州府一·古迹》：“东迁故城：在乌程县东四十里。……隋平陈并入乌程县。唐开元二十九年刺史张景遵置太湖馆於此。大历九年颜真卿改曰东迁馆。今为东迁镇。”
