元至元十五年（1278年）改招信路为临淮府（治今安徽盱眙县）。领盱眙、天长、招信、五河四县。其辖区同招信军（1231—1275年）界至元十七年（1280年）五河县改属泗州。二十七年（1290年）临淮府废为盱眙县。①
①《元史》卷59《地理志二》：“泗州，唐改临淮郡，后复为泗州。宋隶淮南东路。元至元十三年降为下州，旧领临淮、淮平、虹、灵壁、睢宁五县。十六年割睢宁属邳州。十七年割灵壁入宿州，以五河县来属。二十一年并淮平入临淮。二十七年废临淮府，以盱眙、天长二县隶焉。领五县：临淮，虹县，五河，元隶临淮府，十七年来属。盱眙，宋招信军。至元十三年行安抚司事，领盱眙、天长、招信、五河四县。明年，升招信路总管府。十五年，改为临淮府。十七年，以五河县在淮北，改属泗州。二十年并招信入盱眙。二十七年废临淮府为盱眙县。天长。”（第5册，1416页）",
