五代后晋天福八年（943年），王延政建殷国，以建州为国都，于延平镇（永平镇）置镡州属之1。治所即今福建南平市，殷天德二年（944年），以延平镇置龙津县，为镡州治，辖境相当今福建南平市2。后晋开运二年（945年），殷国灭，地归南唐，废镡州为龙津县3。

1，《舆地纪胜》卷129·建宁府：“唐末为闽所有（《通典》王潮据福州，汀、建二州亦降，在昭宗景福二年）。…王延政以建州为大殷国，以将乐县为镛州，延平镇为镡州（《通鉴》在天福八年）。南唐查文徽攻建州，殷王王延政降（《通鉴》在开运二年）。国朝平江南（开宝八年），初属江南转运使，其后隶两浙南路。”（北京，中华书局，1992年，4册，3690页）。
