一称淮西路（1）。南宋乾道二年（1166年）自庐州移治和州（今安徽和县）（2），三年十二月十五日（1168年）改寿春府为安丰军（3）。领和州、庐州、蕲州、光州、黄州、濠州、安庆府、无为军、安丰军（4）。五年（1169年）复治庐州（5）。

（2）（5）《宋史》卷88《地理志四》：淮南西路庐州“乾道二年，置司于和州；五年复旧。”（北京，中华书局，1977年，7册，2183页。）《舆地纪胜》卷45《淮南西路》：庐州“改帅府于和州，乾道三年；未几复旧，乾道五年。”（北京，中华书局，1992年，2册，1820页。）卷48《淮南西路》：和州“中兴以来为淮西路帅治，寻罢。《历阳志》云，乾道二年太守胡昉就除本路帅，因为治所，五年罢。”（3册，1926页。）上云淮南西路以和州为治所，一作乾道二年，一作三年。按：《宋会要辑稿?兵》：乾道二年七月“知和州胡昉言”。（北京，中华书局，1957年，7册，6980页。）同书《方域》：乾道三年十二月十五日“权发遣和州主管淮南西路安抚司公事胡昉言。”（8册，7462页。）则乾道二年胡昉已在和州，今从《地理志》、《舆地纪胜》引《历阳志》，作二年。
