南朝梁大同八年（542年）分交州宋寿、安京郡等地置。（1）治宋寿郡（今广西钦州市东北）。领有宋寿、安京郡。（2）陈永定元年（557年）又领宋广郡。（3）开皇九年（589年）平陈，南朝安州废。（4）

（1）《隋书》倦1《地理志下》宁越郡：“梁置安州。”（北京，中华书局，1973年，3册，885页）又《梁书》倦《武帝纪下》大同八年（542年）三月：遣“安州刺史李智、爱州刺史阮汉，同征李贲于交州”。（北京，中华书局，1973年，1册，87页）据清洪齮孙《补梁疆域志》卷二《安州》宋寿郡：“建元二年割越州属交州，梁又移属安州。”（《二十五史补编》北京，中华书局，1956年，4册，4403页）按：姑作朝梁大同八年（542年）宋寿郡改属安州。
