五代梁开平三年（909年）置，治虔州（今江西赣州市）。领虔州。（1）乾化二年（912年）增领韶州。唐长兴二年（931年）改为昭信军节度使。（2）
注：
（1）朱玉龙《五代十国方镇年表?虔州》引《十国春秋》卷8《谭全播传》“天祐六年（开平三年，即909年），光稠来附于高祖，亦以虔、韶二州请命于梁。梁太祖为置百胜军，以光稠为防御使。”又《五代十国方镇年表?抚州》曰：“唐末，南城人危全讽据其地，自称镇南节度使。后梁开平三年，并入淮南。”（北京，中华书局，1997年，462、453页）按：当开平三年虔州置百胜军防御史。故作治虔州（今江西赣州市）。领虔州。
（2）《旧五代史》卷42《明宗纪八》长兴二年（931年）八月：“辛丑，升虔州为昭信军，……丙寅，以武平军节度使马希振依前检校太尉、兼侍中，充虔州昭信军节度使。（北京，中华书局，1976年，2册，581、582页）按：所领支州未详，故作治虔州，领虔州。",
