即今上海市奉贤县治南桥镇。一名南梁⑴。五代晋天福五年（940年）已成聚落⑵，属华亭县。清雍正二年（1724）属奉贤县，至今不变。
⑴清宋如林修，孙星衍、莫晋纂：嘉庆《松江府志》卷2《镇市》：“南桥在十三保，一名南梁。直北有桥停横泾曰北桥，古亦镇也。有大冈路直达二桥，长四十余里，中阴黄浦，亦尝构梁，即乡人误为黄土桥者。诗人陈藏一尝隐于斯。元时设有南桥务、南桥税课局。明初废。今其地有南桥巡检司。”（清嘉庆二十二年松江府学明伦堂刻本，24页）
