在今上海市金山县张堰镇北寒圩。清初形成聚落，属华亭县，1914年属松江县，1966属松江县，至今不变。⑴
⑴清宋如林修，孙星衍、莫晋纂：嘉庆《松江府志》卷77《第宅上》：“尚书王日藻别业在寒字圩，名秦望山庄，中奉圣祖仁皇帝御书‘连云’二字扁额，亭台树石为郡南胜区。”（清嘉庆二十二年松江府学明伦堂刻本，18页）
清杨开第修，姚光发等纂：光绪《华亭县志》卷1《镇市》：“寒字圩，七保，在张泾堰西北。国初尚书王日藻筑秦望山庄于此，因以成聚。后王氏衰而市廛寂矣。”（清光绪五年（1879）刻本，14页）
上海市金山县县志编纂委员会编《金山县志》第四编《乡镇概况》：“寒圩乡境东部寒圩村，距干巷镇6公里。据《寒圩小志》载：清康熙年间，司农王日藻筑秦望山庄于此，庭院花木极一时之盛，名寒字圩，简称寒圩。清初，人烟稠密，商业繁盛。清中叶为华亭18个镇之一。”（上海人民出版社，1990年，149页）",
