即今上海市川沙县张江。清嘉庆初形成集市，属南汇县⑴。1950年属川沙县，后简化为张江⑵。
⑴清宋如林修，孙星衍、莫晋纂：嘉庆《松江府志》卷2《镇市》：“张江栅在二十保。”（清嘉庆二十二年松江府学明伦堂刻本，31页）暂以嘉庆元年（1796）为张江栅集市形成之年。
⑵上海市川沙县县志编修委员会编《川沙县志》第一卷《建置》：“1950年6月，划归川沙县，1957年撤区并乡设张江乡。……张江镇旧名张江栅镇，原名古桐里，历来是张江地区政治、经济、文化的中心，现为张江乡党政机关所在地。相传明隆庆年间有名张江者，于镇东西置栅，故镇名张江栅，今乡以镇为名。”（上海人民出版社，1990年，85页）按：约在1970年代简称为张江。",
