在今上海市松江区佘山（陈坊桥）东侧。约清乾隆初年形成集镇。⑴为松江府著名春游之地，⑵属青浦县。1954年属松江县，⑶至今不变。
⑴初见于乾隆《青浦县志》，暂以乾隆元年（1736）为集镇形成之年。
⑵清宋如林修，孙星衍、莫晋纂：嘉庆《松江府志》卷2《镇市》：“在三十八保，地多园林，春夏之交，游人四集，画船箫鼓，殆无虚日。”（清嘉庆二十二年（1817）松江府学明伦堂刻本）
⑶上海市青浦县县志编纂委员会编《青浦县志》第二篇《建置》：“1954年12月，将佘干区的辰山、佘山、陈坊3个乡及干凤乡的8个行政村划归松江县，共5782户，23742人。”（上海人民出版社，1990年，82页）
