康熙《靖江县志》卷3：通泰市在“大觉庵西”。咸丰《靖江县志稿》卷8：通泰市在“孤山北土桥之东二里”。今江苏靖江县大觉、孤山地名犹存，通泰市当在大觉西，孤山北。又《靖江县志稿》卷3云：土桥在孤山北五里，跨山港。则市在孤山北五里处。
清康熙八年（1669）《靖江县志》云近三十年渐成市，上推三十年为明崇祯十四年（1641）。当在明开形成集市。",
