樊树志《明清江南市镇探微》引明弘治《太仓州志》称沙头镇，正德明林世远修、王鏊纂：正德《姑苏志》：、嘉靖《南畿志》同。清《江南通志》卷26《关津》为太仓州属镇，此镇当形成于明弘治年间。",
