清乾隆《吴江县志》卷4《镇市村》：“盛泽镇，在二十都，去县治东南六十里。明初以村名，居民止五六十家，嘉靖间倍之，以绫绸为业，始称为市，迄今居民百倍于昔，绫绸之聚亦且十倍，四方大贾辇金至者无虚日，每日中为市，舟楫塞港，街道肩摩，盖其繁阜宣喧盛，实为邑中诸镇之第一。”
嘉庆《清一统志》卷78《苏州府二·关隘》：“盛泽镇，在吴江县东南六十里，本朝乾隆五年，移县丞驻此。”今江苏吴江市盛泽镇。",
