嘉庆《清一统志》卷74《江宁府二·关隘》：“竹筿市，在县东北二十里。”
按《景定建康志》卷16《镇市》：“竹筿市，在上元县长宁乡，去城二十里”。元《至正金陵新志》卷4上《镇市》：竹筿市，“在上元县长宁乡，去城五十里。”明万历《上元县志》卷4《建置志》、清康熙《上元县志》卷7《镇市》、道光《上元县志》卷3《市》皆载：“竹筿市，去县二十里”。则《至正金陵新志》所载“五十”乃“二十”之误。此市自南宋景定以前成市后，历元、明、清相袭。
