清尹继善等修、黄之隽纂：乾隆《江南通志》卷25《关津》：“汤泉市，上元县东六十里汤山。”道光《上元县志》卷3《镇市》：“汤泉市，在神泉乡之汤山，去县六十里。”按康熙《上元县志》卷7《镇市》：“阳泉市，在神泉乡之阳山，去县六十里。”此“阳”字盖为“汤”字之误。明万历《上元县志》卷4《建置志》作“阳”，同误。
又《景定建康志》卷1六《镇市》：“汤泉市，在上元县神泉乡汤山延祥院之前，去城六十里。”《至正金陵新志》卷4上《镇市》同，则市成于南宋景定以前，历元、明、清相继承袭。
